This applies to the public demo only. If you're signed in to your own organisation's Reapit account, none of this applies. You won't see a "Demo" badge anywhere, and every action works normally.
What the "Demo" indicators mean
The Reapit demo at demo.crm.reapit.com lets a prospective customer explore Reapit with realistic sample data, without needing a real account. It is invite only: you get in through a link your Reapit contact emails you. See "How do I get into the Reapit demo?" for how that works.
Two things remind you that you're in this read-only demo rather than a live organisation:
A small Demo badge next to the Reapit logo, top-left of every screen.
A banner across the top of the page, reading "You're viewing <organisation> with realistic sample data", with its own Sign up for Reapit button. This one has a close (×) icon: dismissing it hides it for the rest of your current visit, but it comes back if you return later (e.g. after closing and reopening the browser tab).
Why some actions don't do anything
The demo is read-only. Every property, contact, offer, and appointment you see is realistic sample data, but nothing can actually be created, edited, or deleted. If you try (for example, accepting or rejecting an offer, or recording a new one), you'll see a message explaining that the action is disabled in this demo, with a button to sign up for a real Reapit account. Nothing is silently ignored, and no data is lost. The demo simply doesn't apply the change.
The first time this happens in your visit, you'll see it as a small pop-up window with a bit more detail. If it happens again later in the same visit, you'll instead see a brief, lower-key confirmation at the bottom of the screen, so you're not interrupted repeatedly while exploring.
Setting up your own account
Every "Sign up for Reapit" button in the demo takes you to Reapit's own sign-up flow. The email address your invitation was sent to is carried forward automatically, so you don't have to re-enter it.
