How do I seed today's appointments?

A developer-only tool that fills today's Diary with a few sample appointments for testing, so your timeline isn't empty during a demo or test session.

This is a testing aid. Real appointments are booked through the normal Diary flow, so an estate agent will rarely need this. Seeding lives under the Developer menu, alongside Create Lead, and is intended for testing and demos rather than day-to-day use.

What it does

Seed today's appointments puts a handful of sample appointments (about four, spread across the working day) into your own Diary for today, using a mix of appointment types so the timeline looks realistic instead of empty. It's handy when you want to show or test the Diary but don't have anything booked for the day.

Seeded appointments have a "Seeded" prefix in their description, so they're easy to spot and never mistaken for a real booking.

Running it

Open the user menu from your avatar in the top-right corner and, under Developer, select Seed today's appointments.

  • If today's Diary is empty for you, a few appointments are created and a message confirms how many were added. Open the Diary to see them appear on the timeline straight away.

  • If you already have appointments today, nothing is created - a message tells you today already has appointments, so you can't end up with duplicates.

The menu item is briefly disabled while it works, so a rapid double-click won't create two batches. If your account isn't linked to a negotiator, the tool can't run.
