Lead statuses explained

Every lead has a status that tells you where it is in the workflow and what action, if any, is needed from you - shown in the lead's own detail view. The header shows a badge for New lead, Completed and Rejected; while a lead is being worked, the page itself shows which step it is at. The inbox itself only shows status for a lead you've already finished with. There are five statuses:

New lead

The enquiry has arrived and does not yet have a contact record. Open the lead and use the Link contact section to give it one: search for an existing contact and Link contact, or Add new contact to capture a new record from the enquiry's own details.

Contact added

A contact record now exists for this lead, whether it was created fresh or an existing contact in Reapit was added to it. The next step is to add the persona record - the detail view names the specific role, for example "Contact created. Create the vendor to finish qualifying."

Qualified

The contact and its persona record (vendor, sales applicant, landlord or lettings applicant) both exist. Select Mark done to complete the lead.

Completed

The lead has been fully qualified and marked done - a contact record and the relevant persona record exist in Reapit. No further action is needed for this lead.

Rejected

The lead was closed without being qualified. You can reject a lead yourself from the More actions menu at the top right of the lead, as uncontactable (no usable phone number or email, or no response after repeated attempts), spam, or a duplicate of another enquiry - see What is the lead detail view and how do I use it?. You can do the same from the inbox by right-clicking the lead - see How do I see my leads?. The platform can also reject a lead itself, or flag it as already existing as a contact. The badge names which of these applies, for example Rejected (Spam), and a banner below the lead's header explains it in full. Rejected is a terminal state - use Reopen lead if new contact details become available or circumstances change.

Terminal statuses (Completed, Rejected) do not disappear from your history - they remain accessible for reference.

A lead's status and progress are saved centrally in the CRM, not just on the device you are working on. If you sign in from another computer the lead picks up exactly where you left it, and colleagues working the same inbox see the same up-to-date status - so marking a lead Rejected or Mark done is reflected for the whole team.
