How do I get reminders before my appointments?

Lighthouse reminds you in the app before each of your appointments. Choose how far ahead, or turn reminders off, in Settings.

What a reminder shows

A little before each of your appointments, a reminder pops up in the corner of the app. It shows the appointment type and start time (for example Viewing at 10:20) and the property, or the title of a miscellaneous entry. Select Open to go straight to the appointment in the Diary, or close the reminder to dismiss it.

Reminders cover the appointments in your own diary. Cancelled appointments, and ones that have already started, don't get one. Each appointment is reminded about once.

Choosing when, or turning reminders off

Reminders are on by default, 30 minutes before each appointment. To change that:

  1. Open your avatar menu at the top right and select Settings.

  2. Select the Reminders tab.

  3. Turn Remind me before my appointments off, or choose 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes or 1 hour before.

The change applies straight away.

Good to know

  • Reminders only appear while Lighthouse is open in your browser. There are no email reminders.

  • Your choice is saved in this browser, so set it again if you use Lighthouse on another computer or browser.

  • A new booking is picked up within a few minutes, so it gets its reminder too.
