How do I generate a sales brochure or window card for a property?

The Media tab on a property record lets you generate a sales brochure and a window card from your account's own templates, each tracked through to completion with a notification when it's ready.

Where to find it

Open a property from the Properties list and select the Media tab next to Overview. A Brochure & Window Card section sits above the photo gallery.

This section only appears on a property marketed for sale. A lettings-only property has nowhere to store a brochure or window card, so the section doesn't show for it.

Before a brochure or window card exists yet, this section shows as an empty state with the two generate buttons inside it rather than a card header. Once either a brochure or a window card exists, the section gets a title and the buttons move up into its header.

Generating a brochure or window card

Generate brochure and Generate window card each open a dropdown listing your account's own templates of that kind. Select a template to start generating.

  • Both buttons are disabled until the property has at least one media item - hover either to see the message asking you to add media first.

  • While templates are loading, the button shows a spinner. If your account has no templates of that kind configured, the button is greyed out - hover it to see why.

  • Only one brochure and one window card can generate at a time. While one is in progress, its button is disabled until it finishes or fails; the other button is unaffected, so you can generate a window card while a brochure is still running, and vice versa.

Tracking progress

Once started, a row appears showing the template's name and a status: Pending, Processing, Completed, or Failed. If it fails, the row shows the reason underneath, with a small × button to dismiss it once you've seen it - dismissing doesn't retry anything or change your existing brochure or window card, it just clears the failed row so you can try again.

You'll also see a notification once it finishes or fails, so you don't need to keep the tab open and watch it. Switching to another tab on the same property and back doesn't lose your place either - the generation keeps running and the row picks up right where it left off.

Once it's ready

When generation completes, the finished document takes the place of whichever brochure or window card the property had before straight away - there's no need to refresh the page (there's only ever one current brochure and one current window card). The row shows:

  • Its full file name, with a Brochure or Window card label

  • When it was last modified

  • Preview and Download buttons

Generating a new one replaces the current one - there's no way to keep several versions side by side.

If the row's details can't be loaded (for example a temporary connection problem), it shows a Couldn't load indicator instead of the file name and date, with a Retry button next to it. The document itself is still there - only reading back its name and last-modified date failed - so retrying just re-checks those details rather than regenerating anything.
